Job Summary
The Payments Senior Analyst will support the Finance organization in establishing and embedding a Global Finance Centre of Excellence (CoE). The role will assist the P2P Pillar Manager in building the Payments function and managing the transition of activities from regional shared services.

Initially, the role will focus on setting up the Payments team and transitioning activities into the CoE, followed by ensuring high-quality service delivery aligned with operational KPIs. The position will work closely with the Global Finance CoE and Regional Finance teams to support process improvement, finance transformation initiatives, and system implementations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Payments Centre of Excellence (CoE) Setup

  • Support the transition of payments activities into the Global Finance Centre of Excellence.
  • Prepare process documentation, work instructions, and readiness assessments before transitioning work.
  • Assist during the post-transition Hypercare period to resolve operational issues quickly.

2. Payments Process Service Delivery

- Payment Processing

  • Process and execute payments including ACH, wire transfers, and other payment methods.
  • Verify and validate payment requests for accuracy and completeness.
  • Maintain accurate records of payment transactions.
  • Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies.
  • Manage complex intercompany payment transactions.

- Bank Reconciliation

  • Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies between bank statements and company records.
  • Prepare reconciliation reports and track outstanding items.
  • Investigate unresolved reconciliation balances.

- Compliance & Controls

  • Ensure adherence to company policies and financial controls related to payments.
  • Maintain awareness of relevant regulations and industry practices.
  • Support internal and external audit activities.

- Systems & Process Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve payments and reconciliation processes.
  • Support implementation of new payment systems and finance tools.
  • Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

- Communication & Collaboration

  • Communicate with vendors, banks, and internal stakeholders regarding payment matters.
  • Collaborate with finance teams to ensure smooth payment processing and reporting.
  • Respond to queries related to payments and reconciliations.

- Collaboration with Finance Teams

  • Work with Treasury, Finance Systems, and Controlling teams to improve processes.
  • Support initiatives aimed at improving finance operations and performance.
  • Contribute to the organization’s Finance Excellence vision.

- Finance Projects & Initiatives

  • Support projects led by HQ Controlling to improve payments processes.
  • Participate in process standardization and system implementation initiatives.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Experience: 

  • 3–5 years of experience in payment processing and bank reconciliation.
  • Strong knowledge of ACH, wire transfers, and payment systems.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle or NetSuite.

Skills & Competencies

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot tables, xLOOKUP).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a global finance team.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in shared services or Centre of Excellence transition is a plus.
  • Exposure to fraud prevention and finance transformation initiatives is an advantage.
