Job Description

Role Overview:
The Accounts Manager will be responsible for managing the company’s overall accounting operations, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, maintaining accurate financial records, and providing timely financial insights to support management decision-making. The role involves supervising the accounts team, managing financial reporting, and ensuring robust financial controls across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
1. Accounting & Financial Management

  • Oversee the entire accounting process including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and Bank Reconciliations.
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions in the accounting system.
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
  • Maintain proper documentation and accounting records for all financial activities.

2. Statutory Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements including GST, TDS, Income Tax, PF, ESI, and ROC filings.
  • Coordinate with external consultants for tax filings, returns, and regulatory submissions.

3. Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Manage budgeting and forecasting processes in coordination with management.
  • Conduct variance analysis between budgeted and actual performance and highlight key financial insights.
  • Monitor cash flow, working capital requirements, and fund utilization to ensure smooth financial operations.

4. Internal Controls & Process Improvement

  • Develop, implement, and monitor internal financial controls and accounting policies.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost optimization.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and financial governance standards.

5. Audit & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Liaise with statutory auditors, internal auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.
  • Support audit processes by providing necessary documentation and financial data.
  • Ensure timely closure of audit observations and compliance requirements.

6. Team Management

  • Supervise and mentor the accounts and finance team, ensuring high standards of accuracy and efficiency.
  • Allocate work responsibilities and review team outputs.
  • Support team development and capability building.

7. MIS & Reporting

  • Ensure cost center-wise recording and reporting of income and expenses while preparing MIS reports.
  • Provide timely financial reports and dashboards to management for decision-making.
  • Support leadership with financial planning, cost control, and profitability analysis.

8.Systems & ERP Management

  • Manage and monitor ERP / accounting software operations.
  • Ensure timely data entry, reconciliation, and reporting within the system.
  • Work with IT/ERP teams to improve financial reporting and automation.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Chartered Accountant (CA) / MBA Finance / M.Com / equivalent qualification.
  • Experience: 2–3 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance, preferably with team management exposure.
  • Experience in ERP/accounting software (such as Tally, SAP, Zoho, Oracle, etc.) is preferred.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of Indian accounting standards and statutory compliances.
  • Financial analysis, budgeting, and MIS reporting expertise.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical ability.
  • Leadership and team management skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
