Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Research Analyst to join our Private Equity team. As a Research Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in supporting investment decisions through in-depth analysis and research on target industries, companies, and investment opportunities. You will collaborate closely with senior investment professionals to deliver data-driven insights that help shape the firm’s private equity strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Market Research: Conduct comprehensive market research to identify trends, risks, and opportunities in target industries, focusing on identifying potential private equity investment targets.

• Financial Analysis: Analyze financial statements, valuation metrics, and financial models of prospective companies to assess their viability as investment opportunities.

• Industry & Competitive Analysis: Perform detailed competitive landscape assessments and industry outlooks to understand market dynamics, key competitors, and growth prospects.

• Investment Screening: Support the deal team by screening potential investment opportunities, preparing initial investment theses, and presenting findings to senior team members.

• Portfolio Support: Monitor the performance of existing portfolio companies and conduct follow-up research to ensure alignment with investment strategies.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or related field. A Master’s degree (MBA/Finance) or progress towards CFA is preferred.

• Experience: 1-3 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, management consulting, or financial services with a strong focus on research and financial analysis.

• Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of financial statements, valuation techniques, and financial modeling, with a demonstrated ability to analyze complex financial data.

• Research Skills: Exceptional research and analytical skills with the ability to synthesize large amounts of information and provide actionable insights.

• Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial modeling tools. Experience with data platforms such as Bloomberg, Capital IQ, or PitchBook is a plus.
