Job Description

  • Responsible for the Monthly & Quarterly Balance Sheet & P&L reporting as per IFRS & French GAAP to HO
  • Responsible for implementing the accounting policies (IAS GAAP, French GAAP and Local GAAP) of the bank and ensuring overall integrity of financial data.
  • Responsible for Statutory/Head Office/Regulatory authority audits, certifications, LFAR & various certifications requirement for RBI, CCIL and others
  • Responsible for half yearly review of accounts as per Indian GAAP and Annual Limited review of IFRS/French GAAP accounts.
  • Provide inputs on introduction of new products/ process by the bank to Regional & Local teams
  • Ensuring appropriate controls of General Ledger, Contract database, Nostro Reconciliation, Sensitive/Suspense accounts balance monitoring/justification and other  controls on defined frequency including taking post Gl djustment wherever required in co-ordination with other verticals of the finance department.
  • Preparation of annual ICAAP document for the Bank & quarterly review of financials positions vis-à-vis ICAAP projections.
  • Act as a project manager for all automations related to different verticals of Finance function.
  • Monitor/Implement changes in accounting regulations and their application in accounting software programs in cooperation with Head office project managers.
  • Accountable for interest rate reporting to Head office.
  • Drive process improvements including but not limited to automation

Main Duties:

  • Ensuring daily and monthly accounting and system controls are reviewed, measured, justified and validated.
  • Ensure all Head office reporting is done in an organized, scheduled and qualitative manner.
  • Ensuring Statutory Audit & other auditors are completed in timely manner with close co-ordination with other departments of Banks.
  • Ensure Hedge accounting, ECL computation/posting by Head office tools are analyzed/reviewed and highlighting anomalies/issues to concerned team for its resolution.
  • Ensure critical review of all systems, existing processes and regular motivation and guidance of staff are done in a systematic and time bound manner.
  • To be updated with the extant regulations related to the position and also be able to see the big picture.
  • Responsible for preparation of ICAAP documents and its follow-up on quarterly basis.

Candidate Technical Skills :

  • Chartered Accountant, with at least 8-10 years of post-qualification experience.
  • Good knowledge of Accounting & Regulatory Norms, both Local GAAP and IFRS
  • Good grasp on the Reserve Bank of India Regulations.
  • Ability to grasp the working of the accounting / reporting systems
  • Good presentation skills
