Job Description

Key Responsibilities :

Accounting & Financial Closure

• Own day-to-day accounting and monthly, quarterly, and year-end closures.
• Manage journal entries, provisions, accruals, prepaid expenses, and general ledger (GL) scrutiny.
• Ensure timely closure of outstanding items.
• Oversee vendor accounting, invoice processing, and payment-related accounting.
• Monitor customer receivables, ageing, and credit notes.

Financial Reporting & MIS :

• Prepare monthly MIS and financial reports for management review.
• Prepare schedules and workings for financial statements.
• Prepare MIS for investors.
• Assist in finalising financial statements and notes to accounts.

Reconciliations :

• Prepare and review bank, vendor, customer, GST, TDS, and other balance sheet reconciliations.
• Resolve reconciling items and aged balances.

Statutory Compliance & Taxation :

• Manage and review GST, TDS, and other statutory compliances.
• Coordinate with tax consultants and ensure timely filings.
• Avoid unnecessary interest and penalties.

Audit & Book Closure :

• Coordinate with statutory auditors and manage book closure.
• Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation.
• Track audit observations through to closure.
• Assist in finalising financial statements and notes to accounts..

Qualifications :

• Chartered Accountant (CA) qualified from ICAI.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and Ind AS / applicable Accounting Standards.
• Good knowledge of GST, TDS, and statutory compliance.
• Good Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, and basic financial modelling.
• Ability to work with accounting and ERP systems.
