Job Description

Role Objective

• Deliver accurate and timely full-cycle accounting and bookkeeping for US small-business clients.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP and established quality standards.
• Maintain clean books, perform reconciliations, and prepare review-ready financial statements.
• Maintain low error and rework rates.

Key Responsibilities

• Full-Cycle Accounting
  • Maintain general ledger, journal entries, accruals, and adjustments under US GAAP.
  • Handle AP/AR processing.
• Reconciliations
  • Prepare and review bank, credit card, and balance-sheet reconciliations.
  • Resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Month-End Close & Reporting
  • Execute month-end close.
  • Prepare P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements for review.
• Documentation & Compliance
  • Maintain well-supported working papers.
  • Apply correct US GAAP treatment.
  • Escalate complex items to QA.
• Client Communication & Feedback
  • Communicate with US clients on routine queries.
  • Communicate in US business English.
  • Incorporate reviewer feedback as per established SOPs.

Core Skills & Expertise – Must Have

• Full-cycle US GAAP accounting and bookkeeping.
• Hands-on experience maintaining books end-to-end.
• Ability to prepare financial statements compliant with US GAAP for US clients.
• Practical, day-to-day proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Zoho Books, or Xero.
• Experience with data entry, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Strong attention to detail and reconciliation discipline.
• Clear written and verbal communication in US business English.

Qualifications

• CA (India) Inter (IPCC) or Master's in Commerce / Accounting (M.Com).
