About the Role

We are looking for a sharp and driven Finance Associate to join the Finance team in Bangalore. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment and is keen to build a strong foundation across Controllership, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), and Business Finance. The incumbent will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, outsourced partners, and leadership to enhance financial discipline, strengthen controls, and drive operational efficiency across the organization.

Location: Onsite - Bangalore

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Partnering

  • Identify and drive cost optimization initiatives across logistics, indirect procurement, and technology spends.
  • Partner with business teams to improve cost efficiency and support financial decision-making.

2. Controllership & Finance Operations

  • Oversee Controllership, Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and Revenue Assurance activities.
  • Coordinate with the outsourced finance team to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to financial processes.
  • Strengthen financial controls and maintain process discipline across finance operations.

3. Financial Reporting

  • Own and manage Investor Reporting and MIS reporting.
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and insightful financial reports for internal management and external stakeholders.

4. Legal & Regulatory Coordination

  • Liaise with legal and regulatory teams to ensure compliance with applicable requirements.
  • Resolve finance-related matters requiring cross-functional coordination.

5. Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with business, operations, and outsourced teams to enhance financial processes and internal controls.
  • Contribute to initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiency and financial governance.

Candidate Requirements

Qualification

Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is mandatory.

Experience

  • 6 months to 3 years of relevant experience in:
    • Auditing
    • Controllership
    • Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
    • Business Finance
  • Prior experience with a Big 4 firm or an Internet/Technology company is strongly preferred.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
  • High agility and curiosity, with the ability to take ownership beyond defined responsibilities.
  • Strong MS Excel and financial reporting skills.
  • Comfortable working with data and collaborating with outsourced teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to work effectively with legal, regulatory, and business functions.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-ownership, onsite work environment.
