Role Overview
The role is responsible for end to end financial reporting, regulatory disclosures, audit management, and financial controls, while leading a team and partnering closely with business functions to support decision making and performance improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Compliance
· Preparation, review, and finalisation of monthly, quarterly, half yearly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Ind AS.
· Analysis of financial performance including Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss, and presentation of insights to senior management.
· Ensuring timely publication of financial results to regulators and stock exchanges (SEBI, BSE, NSE, etc.).
· Timely dissemination of business updates and disclosures to stock exchanges.
Audit Management and Group Reporting
· Detailed planning and execution of statutory audit, ensuring smooth closure and managing extensive audit data requirements.
· Tracking, monitoring, and timely closure of statutory and internal audit deliverables.
· Overseeing internal, statutory, and compliance audits; ensuring implementation of auditors’ observations and recommendations.
· Managing group reporting and audit requirements including coordination with the Parent Company.
Controls, IFC & Governance
· Handling IFC and ITGC audits, including:
o Designing and implementing IFC controls
o Preparation and finalisation of RCMs and SOPs for finance functions
· Conducting meetings and detailed walkthroughs with business and support functions on processes, policies, financial controls, and audit readiness.
Stakeholder & Business Partnering
· Assisting in preparation of Audit Committee materials and Investor Presentations related to finance.
· Partnering with business teams at pre transaction and planning stages, and highlighting gaps or risks at post transaction stages.
· Developing a deep understanding of business economics to support improved outcomes beyond reporting.
Team Management
· Leading and managing the financial reporting team and ensuring timely and accurate deliverables.
· Mentoring and reviewing team outputs to maintain high quality and compliance standards.
Value Creation Focus
· In depth analysis of business drivers and contribution to P&L improvement, including revenue enhancement initiatives and cost rationalisation, rather than a numbers only approach.
Key Skills
· Strong expertise in Ind AS
· Excellent understanding of NBFC/Banking regulations
· Audit management and stakeholder coordination
· Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
· Ability to work cross functionally and in deadline driven environments
Qualification & Experience
· Chartered Accountant (CA) – Mandatory
· 10–12 years of postqualification experience
· Preferably from NBFCs / Banks
· Strong exposure to Ind AS financial reporting
