Job Description

• Preparation of Tax Audit, Transfer Pricing, Income Tax Returns, and other statutory forms based on detailed analysis of applicability of clauses, sections, etc., and information through effective coordination with various functions.
• Coordinating with consultants of overseas countries for preparation and review of Income Tax and Transfer Pricing related filings.
• Preparing submissions in response to notices from India and overseas Tax Authorities.
• Undertaking detailed study of case history, legal research on issues involved, and preparation of appeal submissions to be submitted before Assessing Officer, CITA, DRP, ITAT, and overseas Tax Authorities.
• Providing consultancy on TDS applicability and withholding tax implications on overseas payments made by Indian entities after analyzing treaty benefits.
• Undertaking in-depth research to provide consultancy on certain M&A transactions, capital gains issues, corporate structuring, etc.
• Analysis of the tax implications of certain incentives given to employees and advising internal stakeholders (HR, Payroll teams) on the tax-effective structure for employees on a need basis.
• Keep oneself and team updated on tax reforms in India and overseas countries, and keep team members and superiors updated on the impact and measures, if any, to be taken.
• Perform analysis of new country travel business requests and put forth suggestions and business cases to the management.
• Reviewing business contracts from taxation perspective and advising business teams on tax implications on various billing structures.
• Training and coaching other team members on various tax-related activities as mentioned above.
• Effectively liaising with external and internal stakeholders, Indian and overseas consultants, corporate DT, and other internal functions of the organization.
• To represent the organization externally on tax-related matters with conceptual clarity that would enable justification of the stands taken by the organization.
• To understand current tax processes, effectively connect business processes with the tax function, and apply tools and process improvements to the tax function.
• Taking initiative to automate tasks to make the tax function more effective and efficient.
• To identify, analyze, and highlight the areas or events with potential tax risks.
• Ability to suggest strategies to manage and mitigate the risk.

Requirement:
CA with 1–2 years of experience in International Tax and Transfer Pricing, preferably from the IT industry.
